HELP - I Hate Having my Photo Taken!

Does that sound a lot like you? Trust me: you are not the only one with this lingering dread.

In my initial conversations with a brand photography client, this is usually one of the first things they bring up:

“Oh, I’m not like any of those lovely people you’ve got on your website. I am just not photogenic. Plus I really don’t like having my picture taken.”

I get this. I do. It is completely normal – especially for women.

Of all the people I’ve photographed for their website or social media over the years, I think I could count on one hand the ones that have bounced into their shoot saying …

“Yippee, I can’t wait to be photographed! I think I look amazing and feel the part. ”

However what I can also say is that virtually every single business owner who dreaded the thought of a personal branding photo shoot,  had changed their mind at the end of their session.

“Do you know what, that wasn’t actually too bad – in fact it was really kind of fun !” is the typical feeling that my clients express after our sessions.

Everything I do before, and during a shoot, is about making you feel as relaxed as possible. It is not only more fun that way but when you are feeling great we also those genuine expressions for your branding images.

It is an absolutely vital part of my work to make those I work with feel beautiful and comfortable in their own skin.

It is where the magic happens: not only does the real, authentic you show through in the final images but a photo shoot with me is actually a laid back, fun experience you will be looking forward to a couple of months later when you are ready for the next treasure trove of branding images!
