The Experience
Having your high school senior photo taken at Purple Squid is a unique experience right from the start: You get to decide on the perfect location, vibe, and style.
Maybe you’ll want to add favorite things that make you “YOU”. Feel free to bring a variety of outfits, accessories, and things that are important to you: sports equipment, musical instruments, or your furry friend can all be part of the photo session.
Together we’ll create a collection of custom images that are not only beautiful but true to you.

How does this work?
1. contact me
After you fill out the contact form, we’ll decide on the perfect session date, and you’ll purchase a retainer and sign the client agreement. Next I’ll send you a short quiz to learn what makes you tick and what kind of photos, places, and vibes you love so we can custom design a session for you. I’ll also send you a “Get Rady Guide” with tips and tricks to make sure you look amazing in your senior photos.
2. Have fun
During our photo session, we’ll spend some time together having fun at your favorite location, playing around with different outfits, looks, and settings. We’ll incorporate your favorite things, fun accessories, and move around the location(s) to get a ton of variety. I’ll help you relax and guide you into looking your most beautiful self.
3.look Amazing
After about two weeks, get ready to be awed when you see your stunning photos in the proof gallery. All you have to do is choose the ones you love the most. You can also let me know if there are any skin imperfections, etc. you’d like to have retouched. Typically, within a week, you can download the photos while taking care of the balance. And then it’s time to feel amazing, showing off your gorgeous images.

Oh HI,
I am Oriana von Specht your favorite senior and portrait photographer.
After developing creative campaigns for international advertising agencies in Germany and San Francisco, I settled on Bainbridge Island. Raising my family here, gave me the opportunity to get back to my childhood dream of being a photographer. I have since worked commercially and published in magazines internationally – it really helped me hone my skills.
But when I am home, I really love photographing locally. Connecting with and capturing the essence of the lovely high school seniors I meet during my sessions has been so special for me.
And since I have shared live with teenagers for a while now, I perfectly understand that it can be a bit uncomfortable to be in front of the camera. But rest assured, at Purple Squid your main job is to be who you are, and I’ll take it from there.
