Booking your senior session marks the end of one chapter in your life and the beginning of your next adventure. Celebrate that special moment, and show the world who you really are.  Senior Pictures with Purple squid are a unique experience from the very start. You get to decide on the right location for the images you want: someplace urban, someplace natural, somewhere special to you.

This is about the things that make you “YOU” and showcase your personality.  Feel free to bring along a variety of different outfits, accessories, and things that are important to you: sports equipment, your musical instrument or your furry friend can all be part of the photo session.

Bring a friend, have lots of fun hanging out and get a free buddy photo! At Purple Squid, we will work with you to create a collection of custom images that you will be proud to show off to family and friends.

Your Experience

So how does this work? You’ll tell us what makes you tick and how you want to get photographed prior to the session.  But don’t panic if you have no idea, we will take you through step by step and discuss location options, outfit ideas and the best session time for the types of photos you’d love. We’ll spend some time together at your favorite location, playing around with outfits, different looks, and settings.
About two weeks later we’ll invite you to be awed when you see your photos in your personal online gallery. Can’t decide which ones to pick? We’d be happy to help.

Who we are

Oriana von Specht is the principal photographer at Purple Squid. She found her footing developing creative campaigns for international advertising agencies - taking the famed 6-week vacations of her native Germany to travel and photograph gorgeous people and places all over the world. Oriana settled in vibrant San Francisco before family life brought her photographic talents to the Pacific Northwest.

Oriana has shared live with teenagers for a while now and understands that you may be a bit nervous at times and not sure how this will go. But rest assured, at Scarlet Squid your main job is to be who you are and we’ll take it from there.
