INTRODUCTION
Brandy’s client Corti Construction would like to make their website more people-focused to attract new employees and gain trust with new decision-makers that have joined their current client’s ranks.
BACKGROUND
Brandy is looking for a set of photos of the 20-30 core employees of Corti company. The employees are shown one day during Employee Appreciation Day in relaxed attire having fun and on another day on-site in their professional outfits ready for work.
The images are intended for Corti’s website. The goal is to show the company as people-focused and quickly build trust.
The target audience is twofold:
1. Decision makers that have recently joined the ranks of Corti’s current clients
2. Prospective new hires checking out Corti’s website
Objective
1. Produce images showing each Corti core employees (20-30 people) at Corti headquarters in work attire, plus interaction shots
2. Produce images showing each Corti core employees (20-30 people) at the Employee Appreciation Event, plus interaction shots
3. Deliver an online proof gallery with digital files of both shoots to choose from
4. Deliver final high-resolution jpg images (about 80) in an online gallery ready for download
PROJECT SCOPE
1. Photographer produces a shot list and shoot plan considering the company’s marketing goals, target audience etc.
2. In consultation with Brandy the shot list is fine-tuned and the shoot plan developed taking into account specifics of the location, timing etc.
3. On-site photo shoot to take place at Corti headquarters in Redmond on October 15th (half day). Images of all 20-30 core employees are taken in professional attire as well as some interaction shots. Brandy will facilitate the shoot, ensuring all relevant employees are ready and okay with being photographed. She will keep track to ensure images of all employees have been taken.
4. Employee appreciation photo shoot to take place at a Seattle area location on October 16th (half day). Relaxed images of all 20-30 core employees are taken as well as some event / interaction shots. Brandy will facilitate the shoot, ensuring all relevant employees (and possibly family members) are okay with being photographed and keep track to ensure images of all employees have been taken.
5. An online proof gallery with the best images of each person will be delivered, typically within 2 weeks
6. The final images are chosen by selecting one image for each employee, plus interaction images in an online gallery
7. Final images chosen by client will be lightly edited and delivered digitally as high-resolution jpg images in an online gallery, ready for download typically within 2 weeks of selection
Not included:
Hair and Make-up services
getting model releases from the employees
people management to make making sure every employee is ready and has been photographed
Image storage beyond 3 months after completion of photo shoot
Images in the proof gallery other than the chosen finals are not included in the deliverables
FEE STRUCTURE
The half day rate is $4200 but I can extend a discount for 2 consecutive days of shooting, see below.
Suggestions to elevate the project
Photo Shoot Employee Appreciation Day:
I would highly encourage holding the Employee Appreciation Day during the daytime at an outdoor venue.
That way we can capture bright images that will fit well with the overall look of the website and have a more professional feel as opposed to darker, nighttime images. Nighttime images can easily have a feel of partying fun that does not support the credible, capable, safe vibe we are going for.
From a strategic point of view, it would be even better to show the employees have the same kind of fun that prospective new hires or client decision-makers enjoy: sports, cookout, spending time with family.
Being active often brings out the best expressions in people and makes for great interaction shots.
Photo Shoot Employees at Work:
A great way to quickly establish Corti as unique, credible, and capable is to show the employees working on job-site with their tools.
Those authentic “Our People at Work” images are great for building trust and connections quickly. They also help client’s new employees to make an immediate connection between the people they have seen working and the Corti employees they see on the website.
Depending on the kind of workflow this could be done by grouping employees and photographing them at a few different worksites.
